Welcome and thank you for your interest in our technology program. 

To obtain more specific information about our program, please contact us.  For course information, please see the curriculum guide.   Below is a general overview of our technology offerings: 

  • Three computer labs and a library equipped with state-of-the-art hardware programmatically upgraded through a technology plan; laptops to facilitate portable, on-demand multi-media access throughout campus
  • 2001 and 2009 capital campaigns provided dedicated funding for global technology  installations throughout campus and in a new theater/auditorium equipped with advanced audio, video, sound, and lighting  
  • Classrooms equipped with computers, projectors, and interactive whiteboards; instructional use of technology in every department; classrooms and labs wired for data, telephone, and cable for television
  • Departmental videoing of student presentations; video and audio programs for foreign language development
  • Windows based computer environment, LAN and WAN, TI access to Internet, student password protected access, student electronic file storage,   
  • Security and safety software including content filtering 
  • Current versions of software including Microsoft Office and Adobe products available throughout the building
  • Computer skills class for all incoming freshmen to teach them the necessary skills and software for success at Benet and beyond
  • Instructional exposure to electronic homework delivery, publishing, multi-media presentations, computing and graphing, accessing networks and drives, use of peripherals
  • Requirement of graphing calculators in mathematics
  • Online subscriptions to extensive college-level library resources available at school or at home
  • Curriculum for introductory and advanced computer programming; AP credit
  • Password protected login for parents and students to access progress, quarterly, and semester grades via Internet; online appointment scheduling of parent-teacher conferences
  • New technology committees formed for the ongoing advancement of public and private communications via our website.
