Curriculum Guide for 2013-2014 School Year
Peer tutors are available
to students before school, after school, and during study halls to provide
one-on-one assistance in a specific subject area. They will typically meet with
students once a week for about 40 minutes in a conference room reserved in the
library. Peer tutors should be used only in addition to teacher help sessions
and not in place of them. Interested students will be required to attend at
least five help sessions with their classroom teacher before a peer tutor will
be assigned. They should see their counselor to make peer tutor arrangements
and to pick up a Peer Tutor Request Form.
If a work permit is needed during the school year, a completed Letter of Intent form should be brought to a counselor and he/she will issue the work permit. If it is during the summer, the principal’s secretary will complete issue the permit.
