Traditionally, students groups have sponsored the Tuesday, 7:15 am. Mass. However, a group may sponsor any daily Mass that is convenient for them. Student groups are encouraged to “sponsor” a Mass in order to encourage greater community participation in our communal prayer life. The student group helps provide the liturgical ministers e.g., the reader(s), greeter(s), etc. and also munchies, juice, etc. afterward.
Note: Though we have been promoting Tuesday morning as “Student Mass Day,” any day is fine. Thus, if your group wants to do some other day or a 5th or 6th period, all one needs to do is check with the folks in Campus Ministry for scheduling.
To sponsor a Mass, just fill out the handy registration form in either MS Word or plain HTML and return it to the Director of Campus Ministry (Fr. Bob) and have a quick chat with him. This might even be able to be done by e-mail if you download (right-click and Save As) and edit the MS Word form.
