Please note: If you are considering applying to more selective colleges, you will also need to take some honors and advanced placement (A.P.) level classes.
 

 

How do I get homework if I am absent from school?

      -Call a reliable classmate (and get any notes you have missed) .
      -Check to see if homework assignments are listed on your teachers’ web pages.
      -Email your teachers  - first initial last name @ benet.org -- example,

      -Check with your teachers upon your return.
       

What is a peer tutor? How can I arrange to work with one?

A peer tutor is typically a National Honor Society student who volunteers to help another student better understand specific academic content. Peer tutoring is in addition to consulting teachers for extra help. Peer tutoring is usually one-on-one help and is available during study hall, before, or after school. Interested students should see their counselor to make peer tutor arrangements.

 

 

How do I get a work permit?

You need to have a letter of intent completed first. You may see your counselor for a copy of this or download one here.

If it is during the school year, please bring this completed form to your counselor and he/she will issue the work permit. If it is during the summer, please bring this completed form to the principal’s secretary.

What is the College Level Examination Program (CLEP)?

       CLEP is a program of exams in undergraduate college courses that provides students the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement.  2900 colleges grant credit and/or advanced standing for CLEP exams.  COD is a local test site at which you can take these exams.  For more information click on the icon below.
