Mass will be offered during the 4th period and confessions and adoration will take place during 7th and 8th until 3 pm.

The boys golf team shot a team score of 306 in Tuesday's Regional competition, but failed to advance to Sectionals by only three strokes. Advancing as individuals were Conor Ryan who shot a 73 and Quincy Van Eekeren who shot a 74.
The Benet Redwings Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated the St. Patrick Shamrocks 6-0 in their 6th conference match. Goals weree scored by seniors Benjamin Kucera, Dan Crowley, John Hupp, and Sam Knapke, with an additional two scored by Hunter Miller.
The Recruitment Office is looking for seniors and juniors to serve as student ambassadors when we visit St. Dominic's, St. James and St. Cyril/St. Methodius. If you would like to visit your grammar school, please stop by the Recruitment Office for a permission slip.
Jostens will be here tomorrow for picture retakes and those that did not take have a school ID photo taken.
Make sure you sign up for the seed-gathering event at the Morton Arboretum this Sunday, October 9! The signup sheet is on the window of the SG Office so sign up ASAP! All are encouraged to come out and help restore a native plant community! NHS Service Hours are available for those who come.
On Tuesday, October 11th, Judy Fitchett from the Conservation Foundation of DuPage County will be at the Envronmental Club meeting to talk about the DuPage River and our effect on it. All are invited to come to hear this special presentation! The presentation will be in Mrs. Volin's room after school and REFRESHMENTS will be served.
It's that time of year again! That's right! Turkey Bowl is coming up so start getting your team organized! Forms are available in the Dean's Office and at the Student Government Office!
Senior Girls: Marions starts today during 6A and B sign in to homeroom and then go up to the green room for treats and great discussion! All are welcome, we hope to see you there!
Fitness Club will have a short informational meeting today at 2:45 in the small gym.
All Hallow’s Eve
Attention students! Are you looking for a way to help out the community while having fun? Volunteer to work the Napersettlement's All Hallow's Eve Event! Volunteers will be selling glowsticks, giving directions, and selling tickets. The dates are Friday, October 21st, and Saturday October 22nd from 5:30-10:30. Sign up and Information is in the Dean's office.
Today after school, NHS is sponsoring a project to support the Woman's Center by putting tags on baby bottles. This will be from 2:45-3:45 in the library after school. Service hours will be provided.
The Wheatland Athletic Association is in need of volunteers to run basketball tryouts for grades 2-8 on Saturday, October 8th and Saturday, October 15. There are two hour shifts throughout the whole day on both days, and no prior basketball experience is needed. Sign up on the SG window today. For more information, please see Kelsey Brown.
NHS is sponsoring an outing to the Breast Cancer walk on Sunday, October 16. Transportation will be provided by NHS. Buses will leave Benet at 7 am and return back around 12:30-1 in the afternoon. If you are interested, please return your signed permission slip and $15 dollars to the envelope in the Dean's office labeled "Breast Cancer walk." Service hours will be provided.
Attention all students interested in peer tutoring! NHS is in desperate need of Peer Tutors for periods 4 & 6. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Eckert to sign up.
NHS members! If you forgot to bring in your dollar for Jossy at the last general assembly meeting, please put it in the envelope in the dean's office as soon as possible.
There will be an open gym for girls tonight starting at 7:00 pm.
The Campus Ministry Assistance Team will meet today at 2:45 p.m. Please note, however, that the location for our gathering has changed to Mr. Kazlauskas's classroom, Room 307 in St. Joseph Hall. See you there!
1. Outreach Executive Board will meet today during 6th period in the Student Activity Center.
2. Feed My Starving Children is tonight - If you signed up for a ride from Benet, the bus will leave the FRONT CIRCLE at 6:00 sharp. If you are meeting there- arrive by 6:25 and make sure your parents know to pick you up NO LATER THAN 8 :30pm.
3. Next week's Outreach events include serving dinner at Marquard soup kitchen in Chicago on Tuesday after school and a visit to St. Patrick's Residence in naperville on Thursday after school. More information on both of these is available in the Student Activity Center.
Model UN participants should sign up on the list posted outside of Room B402 for roommates by the end of this week. Committee assignments will be posted on Friday morning. The next meeting will be before school next Tuesday at 7:30 in Room B402.
Detention will be held this Thursday from 2:45 to 3:25 pm. The meeting room is M26. The list is posted on the Deans’ Office bulletin board.
