There is a Varsity Soccer game at 6:30 at Downers Grove South. Come out and support your Redwings. Please come out and support the Benet Boys Varsity soccer team as they compete for the ESCC Championship on Friday at Celtic Park in Palatine. The game will be held at 4:30 pm and the field is located at 1299 N. Rohlwing Rd in Palatine. Celtic Park Palatine Rd west of Route 53 to Rohlwing Rd. North on Rohlwing Road to where it dead ends. Fields are just north of Palatine H.S.

Class shirts are finally in! After school today class shirts will be handed out in the lobby. If you ordered and have paid please come pick it up after school. If you have not paid yet you will not be able to get your shirt.
There is a big college fair at COD on next Tuesday, October, 18th. About 200 colleges will be represented there. Students can pick up a list of the colleges attending from the CCC.

Come and get your hands dirty with the Environmental Club! The Club is looking for volunteers to work in the prairie this Saturday morning collecting seeds of native plants. The work will be fun and you will be rewarded knowing you are helping restore a natural area. Sign up in the SG office if you can spend an hour of your time at Churchill Prairie this Saturday morning. Service hours are available to those interested.
Applications for the November 4th Catalyst retreat are now available in the dean's office. Participation is limited to the first 25 boys and 25 girls. If you have any questions, please see Miss Condon in B205.

There will be an organizational meeting for all freshmen young ladies who are trying out for the Freshmen Girls Basketball team this Friday during homeroom. The meeting will be held in B203. There will be an open gym for girls tonight starting at 7:00 pm.
The Recruitment office is in need of volunteers to work the upcoming open houses on Sunday, October 30th, from 1-4 pm and Tuesday, November 15, from 7-9pm. Sign up in the dean's office as soon as possible, as spots are filling up quickly. See Mr. Gaughan or Mrs. Nadolski for additional information if needed.
Sophomore Jack Stucky had two perfect papers, one at the sophomore level and one at the junior level, as the Math team finished third in its first North Suburban Math League contest last week. Near perfect papers were recorded by Senior Tom Gannon in the Oral competition, Junior Brendan Caseria and Freshmen Matt Rossi and Luca Valentino. All results are posted in the Math Hall.

French club officers are asked to attend a brief business meeting after school today, Oct. 13, in room M20 at 2:40. Plans for the October meeting will be discussed.

All Benet Boys Lacrosse players currently not involved in a fall sport please meet after school this Thursday at 2:45 in the cafeteria.
Saturday, October 15th, come cheer on your Benet Redwings hockey teams during their home openers as they take on the Brother Rice Warriors at Seven Bridges Ice Arena. Varsity plays at 3:30 with JV following after.
There is no detention this week. The next after-school detention will be next Thursday, October 20th.
