Bowling Attention Bowlers!
This is to remind you that we will bowl today after school at Lisle Lanes beginning at 3:30 p.m. Please bring $7.00 in cash or a check made out to Lisle Lanes. If you have not paid the registration fee yet, please pay the $10.00 fee at bowling today.
Lisle Library Tutoring The Lisle Library Tutoring service project will begin on Tuesday, October 2, and will continue throughout the school year on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. Volunteers are needed to provide homework help and teach good study habits to students of all ages. The sign-up sheet will be posted each week on the SG Office Window. Volunteers should report to the Youth Services Activity Room on the second floor of the Lisle Library after school on Tuesday. You must provide your own transportation. NHS hours will be earned. Please see Christian Yon with any questions.
Drama Tonight at 7pm is the opening for the Student Directed One Act Plays. Tickets will be on sale during lunch and at the door. The show will also be performed Saturday night so get your ticket and help fill St. Daniel Hall.
Auditions for the Fall Drama Production of Arsenic and Old Lace will be held immediately after school on Monday in St. Daniel Hall.
Football Game Broadcast
We are pleased to announce that the varsity football game Friday, September 28th at 7:30 featuring Benet Academy and St. Viator is being broadcast LIVE on HighSchoolCube.com. If you are unable to attend in person, go to High School Cube to watch the game. A replay of the game and highlight clips of the game will be available so that you can relive the exciting moments of the contest.
Environmental Club All students participating in the service project at the Morton Arboretum on Saturday need to turn in their permission slip by TOMORROW, FRIDAY! Permission slips may be obtained from Mrs. Volin or downloaded from the Environmental Club webpage. If you are going on the trip, you must wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Check the Environmental Club's webpage or Mrs. Volin's door for complete information.

Shadow Program Registration Attention Freshmen and Sophomores, The "Shadow Program Registration" is now posted on the front page of www.benet.org under "Announcements". If you would like to host this year, complete this online form. If you have questions, contact Mrs. Nadolski in the RO.
Bowling Attention Bowlers! Bowling will begin this Friday after school. If you are new to Benet Bowling, or if you still want to sign up, please come to a brief meeting Wednesday morning at 7:20 a.m. in room M24.

Girls' Volleyball As a Program they have played in six tournaments and brought home 6 championships. (Varsity 2, JV 1, Sophs 1 and Frosh 2) The varsity team has not lost a tournament since 2011. Come cheer on the defending state champs at their next home game Friday Sept. 28th. vs Batavia at 5 and 6 pm Come pack the gym!
Environmental Club The environmental club is hosting a work day at Morton arboretum from 8:30-11 on Saturday, September 29th. service hours are available. The sign up is outside of Mrs. Volins room. Sports Medicine Our trainer, Katelynn, is still in need of assistants. If anyone is interested in sports medicine and would like to experience what it is like to wrap a wrist and other body parts, please drop by the trainer's room after school this week.

Sophomores and Juniors Are you interested in a summer program on medicine? The National Youth Leadership Forum is inviting students to take part in its program in Chicago next summer. Many Benet students have enjoyed this experience. You must have a GPA of 90 or above to qualify. Come to the CCC before September 19th to fill in a nomination form.
Homecoming Week Homecoming tickets are on sale this week in the cafeteria during your lunch hour! Tickets are $40 a couple, $20 for one. Don't wait until the last minute!
Come to the 1st annual student and faculty softball game this Thursday at 5:30! Sign up is still available on the SG office window.
Come to the faculty dunk tank, intramurals bag tournament, and barbeque after school on Tuesday! There is still limited space to enter the tournament. Prizes are available so sign up on the SG office window or talk to Brad Bozych.

Girls Tennis As part of Homecoming Week, Thursday is the first ever Benet Tennis Fan Day at the Benet Tennis Courts. Students and teachers come cheer on the undefeated Varsity Girls Tennis Team to victory over Marian Catholic. Matches begin at 4, but there will be pizza, subs, cookies and more beginning at 3:30. Come on out and support our undefeated tennis team during their Homecoming Match.

Team Practice is at River Bend at 3:30. Both Varsity and JV are required to be there.
Benet Herald All Benet Herald staff members should attend a meeting THIS Wednesday, the 19th, at 7 am in the AV studio to discuss writing assignments for the next issue.

Girls Tennis Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Tennis team for taking 1st place at the ESCC quad on Saturday. Great matches were played by singles players Leah Tzakis and Coco Tzakis and doubles players Mary Beth King, Daniella Reyes, Olivia Watson, Maggie Wilhelm, Maggie Carlson, Shea Gallagher, Mary Luka, and Christine Farolan.
