-Six more students are needed to help out after school tomorrow (Tuesday) at SCARCE, to make SuperCrayons for disabled children.  You can sign up on the Service Bulletin Board.

-On the weekend of December 14th and 15th, volunteers are needed to work at a Christmas-light recycling event at St. Joan of Arc Church after all the masses.  A sign up sheet is located on the Service Bulletin Board.

SALT

This Sunday, December 1st, was the first Sunday in Advent. During Advent we reflect on the three comings of Christ--the historical coming of the incarnation, the future coming of Christ at the end of the world, and finally, the third coming of Christ: when Christ comes intimately to dwell in each one of our hearts, especially in the Eucharist. In actuality, the three events are all one in God's plan to reestablish the Kingdom of Heaven. The gospel this week tells us ready our hearts. Make a plan this Advent to do so during Eucharistic Adoration this morning or tomorrow afternoon. Participate in the Eucharist during one morning this week or during your homeroom Mass on Wednesday or Thursday. Therese of Lisieux, tells us that, "Jesus burns with the desire to come into your heart." May this Advent be a time of preparation so that we will not be like the one left behind, but instead be drawn cloer to the heart of God and to His Son, Jesus.

Here we go a-caroling...Salt is headed to Villa St. Benedict's this Wednesday, December 4th immediately after school for caroling, cocoa, and cookies with the residents.  The more the merrier our tunes will be so please join us!

SALT is also headed to Naperville to spend time with guests of the National Alliance for the Mentally ill.  Join us for crafts and birthday cake from 6:45-8:15 and bring some holiday cheer to those who need it most!

There will be a SALT general meeting on Thursday, December 5th after school in J307.  Come and sign up to be a part of the Christmas Drive festivities.

SALT will also be headed to Our Lady of Angels from 7:45 to approximately noon on Saturday, December 7th to distribute food and clothing to neighbors in need.

This Friday, Pack the Chapel at 7:10 a.m. on the Feast of St. Nicholas to celebrate the beginning of our annual Christmas Drive and to enjoy doughnuts and beverages sponsored by the mother's club.

Art Club

Art Club will meet tomorrow at 3:15 in Brother Kevin’s room.

Christmas Drive

This Friday, December 6th, at 6:30 p.m., the big Christmas tree outside Benet will be lit.  At 7:00 p.m., after the lighting, join us in watching Polar Express.  Food will be provided.  See you all there to kick off the Christmas Drive.
