Driving
Due to the fact that our seniors will not be in schooltomorrow, the normal parking regulations do NOT apply. Any licensed student driver may park his/her car on campus fortomorrowonly. Be careful not to park in a faculty/staff space. Those spaces are identified by the letter F and a number on the pavement.

Its a great night to go...it should be light on homework with a little extra free time on your hands so get a few friends together and do something that MATTERS...feed a hungry child, or better yet, a village! Boys’ Golf
The Boys Varsity Golf team will advance to the State Finals in Bloomington, Il after finishing third in yesterday's Sectional competition played at Springbrook GC.

Girls’ Golf
The Girls’ Golf team qualified one player to the State Finals, Isabella Abdullah.

Art Club
Will meet after school today in Brother Kevin’s Art Room!

NHS members! If you haven't already done so please turn in one dollar to the deans office for Jossy as soon as possible. There is a sheet for you to sign your name once you bring in the dollar which is also in the dean’s office.

Math Team

GPA + Program
All students who signed up for the GPA + Solutions program are asked to review the sheets outside the Principal’s office to find out which session you will be attending.

These sheets do not yet reflect any forms turned in today OR any mailed in forms that were not received by last Friday.

Please note that Wednesday’s session (tomorrow at 12:45) will meet in St. Jude Commons. Please remember to bring a lunch as the cafeteria will not be open.

Wednesday’s session is FULL and no further registrations will be accepted for this session.

Any students signed up for other sessions are asked to listen to the announcements this week to find where their class will be held.

Feed My Starving Children is BACK onOctober 16th. SIGN UP NOW to help feed those in 3rd world countries who suffer from malnutrition and who rely on God's work through others to be their strength and their stronghold.


SALT DIGNITY is looking for someone who would like to mow grass, rake leaves, and remove snow for a Benet neighbor in need. Besides the feel good sensation of knowing your helping someone, monetary Compensation may be part of the deal! See Mrs. Bedore for information.

Boys’ Golf
The Benet Boys Golf team will travel to next Monday's Sectional Competition after capturing the championship of the Hinsdale South Regional played yesterday with a team score of 297. This is only the second time in Benet's history that they have captured a Regional crown.

Girls’ Golf
The Girls' Golf team had two girls qualify for the sectional at the
Neuqua Valley Regional today. Isabella Abdullah shot an 80 for the
Redwings and Gretchen Schramko shot a 92. Both ladies will be playing
in the sectional in Rockford on Monday.

Mock Trial

Scholastic Bowl
If you are interested in helping with the Junior High Scholastic Bowl on Tuesday, October 15th, sign up in the Recruitment Office.

Girls Open Gym

Varsity Girls’ Basketball

Seniors... just a reminder... IF you have aNovember 1stapplication deadline that requires a teacher letter of recommendation, your transcript request form is due to your college counselor TOMORROW. When you turn in your transcript forms, you must also bring in the application checklist, which can be found in your red folder.

Boys’ Golf
The Frosh-Soph Golf Team won the ESCC Championship yesterday.
Scores: Nick Schanzer (76), Austin Feldman (80), Jack DeRuntz (83), Jack Neenan (87).

For the first time in over a decade, the Boys Varsity golf team successfully kicked off homecoming week, by capturing the championship of East Suburban Catholic Conference.

SALT
SALT DIGNITY will be heading to Our Lady of Angels this Saturday from 7:45 to 11:30 to assist with food and clothing distribution for those in the area that are in need of assistance. Spots are still available so stop to sign up on the board in St. Joseph's hall and pick up a permission form today!

The next SALT FORCE general meeting will be after school on Tuesday, October 8th in J307. Join us as we execute plans for Random Acts of Kindness and as always enjoy a SALTY snack!

Before you come and watch Ferris tonight, Come out and cheer on the girls volleyball team as they take on Marian Catholic at6pm.

Help support the freshman volleyball team by collecting pop tops for Ronald McDonald house. The pop tops help raise money for the house so families can stay close to the children’s hospital and not worry about meals and a place to stay. You can drop off you pop tops in the coach’s office or there will be a container in the cafe and deans office.

NHS
Bring $1 to the meeting tomorrow morning for Jossie! Meeting is at 7:10 am.

Debate Club
Debate Club. Do you know that Benet Academy does not have a debate club or "forensics" team? Stop by on Thursday & Friday during homeroom for a Read In; students who are willing, will be filmed reading from banned books.

Jostens will be on campus onFriday, September 27thduring lunch, in the gym lobby, for class ring measurement and orders. Please remember your order form and $50 down payment. Extra order packets are available in the Dean’s office.

Hello all seniors who have attended Logos last Spring or last week, if you are interested in leading the November Logos please turn in a leadership application to Mr. Ramon Marth or Mr. Marty Ford by this Friday. Freshman and Senior Ladies - If you are participating in the Big Sister Little Sister dinner, please remember to bring in your check for $35! Please bring the check to the Dean's Office!

Startingnext Thursday,SALT will be holding a brief prayer service for loved oneswho have died. There will be two sessions--one at the beginning of 5th period (Period E) and one at the beginning of the 6th period (Period F). The event is being held at Villa St. Benedict and volunteers are needed to serve as greeters from5:30-7:15pm.You can leave after your shift or stay for the concert to hear our very own Benet Madrigals sing.
