    In both freshman and transfer applications, Benet Academy will holistically evaluate a prospective student's application to determine an admission decision by using multiple tools, including, but not limited to test scores, academic transcripts, teacher recommendations, and family communication, to invite prospective students to flourish within its school culture.

    Benet accepts students of any race, gender, national or ethnic origin, or financial situation.

Completing the inquiry form below creates both a parent/guardian account and a student record—please make certain to submit accurate information for student and parent(s)/guardian(s).

The Admissions Office will process your inquiry form within 24 hours (when school is in session). Once your inquiry form is processed, you may continue to set up your parent/guardian account following these instructions. This account allows you to register for upcoming events, including Shadow Program visits.

Freshman Applicants

To apply as an freshman student, please complete the following steps:

  • Step 1:

    Complete your pre-application inquiry form to create a MyBenet account.
  • Step 2:

    The Admissions Office will process your inquiry within one school day. You will then receive an invitation from our portal provider to finish setting up your account. Please accept the invitation to access the MyBenet Portal. This account allows you to register for upcoming events, including Shadow Program visits.
  • Step 3:

    Complete your application (including $35 application fee) to Benet Academy through the MyBenet Portal. The Online Application includes extracurricular interests and contact information.

    As part of the application process for all 8th grade applicants, Benet Academy requires the HSPT for its entrance exam. Students interested in taking the HSPT will automatically be registered to take the exam as part of their online application.
Freshman selection considerations include:
  • The applicant’s performance on the High School Placement Test (HSPT) entrance exam taken at Benet on the first Saturday in December.
  • The applicant’s performance on junior high standardized testing and report cards
  • Priority is given to Catholic Applicants
  • Priority is given to legacy applicants who have a sibling, parent, or grandparent who graduated from Benet or St. Procopius Academy or who currently attends Benet.

Transfer Applicants

To apply as a transfer student, please complete the following steps:

  • Step 1:

    Complete your pre-application inquiry form to create a MyBenet account.
  • Step 2:

    Once the Benet Academy IT Department processes your inquiry, you will receive an invitation from our portal provider (Blackbaud) to finish setting up your account. Please accept the invitation to access the MyBenet Portal.
  • Step 3:

    Complete your application (including $35 application fee) to Benet Academy through the MyBenet Portal. The Online Application includes extracurricular interests and contact information. 

    As part of the application process for all transfer applicants, Benet Academy requires:
    • An unofficial copy of your child’s high school transcripts, a copy of any recent standardized test scores, our disciplinary form completed by your child’s current school administrator and two letters of academic recommendation
Transfer application considerations include:
  • Evaluation of the applicants unofficial transcript
  • The applicant’s performance on standardized testing
  • Academic letters of recommendation
  • Priority is given to Catholic Applicants
  • Priority is given to legacy applicants who have a sibling, parent, or grandparent who graduated from Benet or St. Procopius Academy or who currently attends Benet.
