Benet Academy is a Catholic, college preparatory high school rooted in the Benedictine tradition. But what does that really mean?
At Benet, our mission comes to life every day through prayer, stability, discipline, humility, hospitality, and a genuine sense of community. Those values shape not only what happens in the classroom, but also how we care for one another, challenge each other to grow, and celebrate each student’s unique gifts.
As a proud member of the Class of 2008, I experienced firsthand what makes Benet so special. Benet helped shape who I am, and it inspired me to return and dedicate my career to serving this incredible community. While much has changed since I graduated, what has remained constant is our commitment to our mission. In fact, I’ve watched that mission grow even stronger in continuing to prepare young men and women not only for college, but for lives of faith, purpose, leadership, and service.
Each year, we welcome more than 300 freshmen from over 100 Chicagoland schools, and every student brings something special to our community. Whether you’re just beginning to explore high school options or already picturing yourself in red, black, and white, we invite you to experience Benet firsthand.
The best way to discover what makes Benet special is to spend time on our campus. Join us for a Shadow Day, Step-Up Day, Bagels at Benet, Junior High Nights for our athletics and fine arts programs, or one of our many admissions events throughout the year. You’ll meet the students, faculty, and staff who make this community such a remarkable place to learn, grow, and belong.
Choosing a high school is one of the most important decisions your family will make, and we’re honored you’re considering Benet. If I can answer any questions or help guide you through the process, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I would love the opportunity to welcome you to the community that has meant so much to me and continues to change lives every day.
Sincerely,
Kelsey Peceniak ’08
