Math Team
Mission Statement: The Benet Math Team strives for academic excellence in the field of mathematics where all students will learn and grow in their problems solving skills in order to succeed and win at math competitions.
Club Description: The club meets once a week throughout the school year as we prepare for seven math competitions. The first five math competitions are a part of the North Suburban Math League (NSML). Each of these competitions has targeted math topics. Students meet weekly to learn lessons and practice problems to prepare to win at the NSML! At the end of the year, students compete in a regional math competition where students compete both individually and on teams. Students and teams that perform well qualify for state! Throughout the year, students learn from both teachers and classmates alike to steadily improve both math knowledge and critical thinking skills.
