Skilled Screenwriter!
Congratulations to Kelly (Powers) Blackard '02 who had two screenplays receive Second Round accolades at this year's Austin Film Festival. CRATE DIGGERS, a coming-of-age comedy about an aspiring riot girl in nineties Seattle, was recognized in the Comedy Teleplay Pilot category, and NOBLE ROT, an offbeat murder mystery set in Washington wine country, earned a Second Round in the Comedy Feature category. Additionally, NOBLE ROT was a semifinalist for The Writers Lab this year.
