Tuition Assistance & Scholarships

Each year, more than 125 students receive vital support that makes a Benet education possible. Gifts to the Father Ronald Rigovsky, O.S.B. Memorial Scholarship Fund and the One Benet Fund—along with several endowed scholarships—provide both merit-based awards and need-based tuition assistance, ensuring that deserving students can thrive at Benet Academy.

  • Abbot Thomas Havlik Memorial Fund

    The Abbot Thomas Havlik Fund was established at Benet Academy in January 2003 by members of the Havlik  family in honor of Benet Academy’s first Principal and Chancellor, Abbot Thomas Havlik, O.S.B.

  • Cashel Foundation Financial Assistance Fund

    The Cashel Foundation Fund was established in 2010 by Mrs. Mel Cooney, mother of Chris ’86, Brendan ’86 and Sara ’95, and grandmother of six Benet graduates; to help deserving students attend Benet. 

  • Havlik Family Fund

    The Havlik Family Fund was established at Benet Academy in January 2003 in appreciation for the quality educational experiences received by the nine Havlik family members who attended either St. Procopius Academy or Sacred Heart Academy – the two schools that merged to become Benet Academy in 1967.

  • Janina Braune ’94 Memorial Fund

    The Janina Braune ’94 Fund was established in 1998 by David & Laima Braune in loving memory of their daughter, Janina Braune ’94 who died tragically in a hiking accident after her college graduation.

  • Legacy Memorial Fund

    This fund was established by the families of Sean O’Donnell, Stephanie Ramos and Jeff Wirtz, three students killed in an automobile accident in January 1997. It honors these students and provides financial aid to Benet families. The fund is supported through direct contributions and through proceeds of the Legacy Memorial Golf Outing held each summer.

  • Margaret Craft ’92 Memorial Fund

    The Margaret Craft ’92 Fund was established in 2003 by Marj Calinog ’92 and Ed & Patricia Craft in loving memory of their friend/classmate/daughter, Margaret Craft ’92.  

  • Robert Jelinek Memorial Financial Assistance Fund

    The Jelinek Fund was established by family members in memory of the father of Br. Guy Jelinek, O.S.B., a long-time and beloved Biology teacher at Benet.

  • Zigmond Financial Assistance Fund

    The Zigmond Fund was established in 2010 by Edward ‘77 and Barbara ’77 Jarosz, Jr. to acknowledge two exceptional former members of the Benet Academy faculty and coaching staff:  Dr. John Zigmond ’61 and Father Kenneth Zigmond, O.S.B.
