Greg Comonal '19 is working as a freelance guitarist in the Detroit jazz scene while pursuing a M.M. in Jazz Performance at Wayne State University. He received the Gretchen C. Valade Graduate Assistantship in Jazz, which includes full tuition for his two-year graduate program! Greg also had the opportunity to work closely with the Detroit Jazz Festival and was a featured soloist for the 2025 Detroit Jazz Festival Collegiate Jazz Orchestra. He is currently with the Detroit Jazz Festival All-Star Generations Band on their 2026 Japan Tour.
